Ltd., its related subsidiaries, and affiliates, collectively referred to as "Sedar Properties", "we", "us" or "our", aim to comply with the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”). Sedar Properties has a Privacy Policy which provides information about how we collect, use and disclose your personal data. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Sedar Properties manages personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“the Act”), including the purposes for which we collect, use and disclose your Personal Data.
Sedar Properties is involved in property development, management, and investment, including residential, retail, and commercial products. By interacting with us and submitting information to us, you agree and consent to Sedar Properties, as well as our respective representatives collecting, using, disclosing, and sharing between themselves your Personal Data to fulfill the purpose(s) for which consent was given and data was provided.
1. Your Personal Data
1.1 Sedar Properties collects your personal data through our interactions with you, and through our products and services. The data we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us. In this Privacy Policy, “Personal Data” refers to any information about you from which you can be identified either (a) from that data; or (b) from that data and other information to which we have access.
1.2 Examples of such Personal Data which you may provide to us include your name, NRIC/passport or other identification number, telephone number, mailing address, email address and any other information relating to you which you have provided to us; your employment history, education background, and income levels; and your payment related information, such as your bank account information or credit history.
2. How We Collect Personal Data
2.1 Generally, Sedar Properties collects your Personal Data in the following ways:
a) when you submit information relating to any of Sedar Properties’ products or services;
b) when you ask to be included in an email or other mailing list on websites owned or operated by us;
c) when you provide information to our security teams;
d) when you interact with our customer service/marketing officers;
e) when you interact with our leasing officers;
f) when you submit a job application;
g) when you enter into an agreement with us, including options to purchase, sale and purchase agreements, tenancy agreements, or any other short-term occupation agreements;
h) when you purchase a property from us;
i) when you request that we contact you;
j) when you respond to our request for additional Personal Data;
k) when you participate in promotional activities and lucky draws at our retail centre;
l) when we receive references from business partners and third parties, for example, where you have been referred by them;
m) when your images are captured by us via CCTV cameras within our premises;
n) when photographs or videos are taken by us or our representatives at events hosted by us at non-public spaces; and
o) when you submit your Personal Data to us for any other reason.
2.2 When you browse our website, you generally do so anonymously. Please see the section 5 below on cookies.
2.3 If you provide us with any Personal Data relating to a third party (e.g. information of your spouse, children, parents, employees and/or authorised representatives), by submitting such information to us, you represent to us that you have obtained the consent of the third party to do so for the respective purposes.
3. Purposes for the Collection, Use and Disclosure of Your Personal Data
3.1 Generally, Sedar Properties collects, uses and discloses your Personal Data for the following purposes:
a) to provide you with the products or services that have been requested;
b) to communicate with you and respond to your queries, requests, feedback or complaints;
c) to manage our infrastructure and business operations, and to comply with internal policies and procedures;
d) to verify your identity;
e) to keep you up to date on construction progress and settlement information;
f) to facilitate any proposed or actual business transactions;
g) to comply with any applicable rules, laws and regulations, codes of practice or guidelines or to assist in law enforcement and investigations by relevant authorities;
h) to conduct audits, reviews and analyses of our processes and to manage commercial risks;
i) to prevent, detect and investigate crime, including fraud and money-laundering,
j) to protect and enforce our contractual and legal rights and obligations; and
k) any other purpose relating to any of the above.
3.2 In addition, Sedar Properties may collect, use and disclose your Personal Data for the following purposes, depending on the nature of our relationship with you.
3.3 If you are a visitor to any of our premises:
a) to conduct security checks and monitoring;
b) to contact you for emergency purposes;
c) to track and manage car park use; and
d) any other purposes relating to the aforesaid.
3.4 If you are a shopper at our retail centre:
a) to process your participation in our in-mall promotions, redemptions, contests, activities or services;
b) to track and manage your equipment loans;
c) to contact you for emergency purposes; and
d) any other purpose directly relating to any of the above.
3.5 If you are a prospective tenant or a tenant:
a) to coordinate viewings of the property;
b) to conduct appropriate due diligence checks to ensure tenant suitability;
c) to administer the lease and/or licence including the verification of your identity, preparation of documentation, including letters of offer, other relevant leasing/legal documentation and applications for any relevant licences which may be required;
d) to administer the lease and/or licence agreement obligations of the parties;
e) to facilitate follow-ups on outstanding payments due and where necessary, and to update your bank account details and business records;
f) to deliver correspondences or notices as may be required under the lease or licence;
g) to contact you for emergency purposes; and
h) any other purposes relating to the aforesaid.
3.6 If you want to buy property from us or have expressed your interest in purchasing property from us:
a) to coordinate property and/or showroom/sales suite viewings;
b) to administer the sale process including the verification of your identity, preparation of documentation, including Options to Purchase, other relevant documentation and applications as may be required for any purchase or sale or sub-sale of the property;
c) to administer and track the status of any defects rectification;
d) to deliver correspondences or notices as may be required under the sales documentation;
e) to comply with any relevant legal or regulatory obligations, including maintaining the strata roll of the property development;
f) to update your bank details and business records to facilitate follow-ups on outstanding arrears; and
g) any other purposes relating to the aforesaid.
3.7 If you are a prospective vendor or vendor, or a contractor or employee thereof:
a) to manage the outsourcing relationship;
b) to conduct background checks and due diligence;
c) to ensure the security of our premises;
d) to process any payments of invoices and claims including payments to any accounts payable;
e) to contact you for emergency purposes; and
f) any other purposes relating to the aforesaid.
3.8 If you submit an application to Sedar Properties as a candidate for employment or an internship:
a) to process your application including pre-recruitment checks;
b) to collect information about your suitability for the position applied for;
c) to provide or obtain employee references or other references where relevant for background screening;
d) to administer benefits and payroll processing;
e) to provide you with tools to facilitate or as required for you to do your job;
f) to communicate with you as required by Sedar Properties to comply with its policies and processes, including for business continuity purposes;
g) to organise training and staff development programs;
h) to assess your performance; and
i) any other purposes relating to the aforesaid.
3.9 Where you have specifically provided us with additional consents, Sedar Properties may also collect, use and disclose your Personal Data for the following purposes:
a) to subscribe you to our mailing list;
b) to provide marketing and promotional information to you about our services and products including offers and promotions;
c) to send you updates, corporate news, survey requests;
d) to send you updates on the products and services, offers and promotions of our business partners and/or our affiliates where relevant;
e) to administer contests, competitions and conduct lucky draws, including, where necessary, announcing the results of these contests, competitions and lucky draws and identifying and contacting the winners, and in order to publicise and conduct marketing strictly related to these contests, competitions and lucky draws;
f) to send you invitations to our corporate events, feedback sessions etc.;
g) to make appointments with you and conduct visits at your property; and
h) to conduct market research, understand homeowners’ satisfaction, and gather customer feedback to enable us to improve products and develop marketing programmes.
4. Do Not Call (‘DNC’) Provisions
4.1 If you have provided us with your Singapore telephone number(s) and have indicated that you consent to receiving marketing or other promotional information via your Singapore telephone number(s), then Sedar Properties may contact you using such Singapore telephone number(s) with information about our products, services and other event invitations even if these telephone number(s) are registered with the DNC Registry. You may advise in writing should you wish not to be contacted by us at your telephone number(s) for such purposes.
5. Use of Cookies
5.1 When you interact with us on our websites, our hosting provider Squarespace automatically collects and analyses anonymised information (“Aggregate Information”) from which individuals cannot be identified.
5.2 To do so, our service provider Squarespace, uses "cookies", which are small pieces of data that websites store on a device.
5.3 Cookies may improve the browsing experience, help our websites run effectively, and provide performance data such as the number of users and their frequency of use, and the common entry and exit points into a website.
5.4 These cookies are readable only by us and our service provider Squarespace, and cookies cannot access, read or modify any other data on your computer.
5.5 Most browsers automatically accept cookies but cookies can be enabled or disabled by modifying the settings in your browser. If you choose not to allow us to place a cookie on your computer, you may be restricted from some services offered on our websites, and some of the interactive features on our websites may be similarly restricted or be rendered inoperable.
6. Third-Party Sites
6.1 Our websites may contain links to other websites operated by third parties, such as our corporate partners. We have no control over and are not responsible for the privacy practices of websites operated by third parties that are linked to our websites. Once you have left our website, you should check the applicable privacy policy of the third-party website to determine how they will handle any information they collect from you.
7. Withdrawal, Access to and Correction of Personal Data
7.1 The consent that you provide for the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data will remain valid until such time it is being withdrawn by you in writing. You may withdraw consent and request us to stop using and/or disclosing your personal data for any or all of the purposes listed above by submitting your request in writing or via email to our Data Protection Officer at the contact details provided below.
7.2 If you wish to make (a) an access request for access to a copy of the personal data which we hold about you or information about the ways in which we use or disclose your personal data, or (b) a correction request to correct or update any of your personal data which we hold about you, you may submit your request in writing or via email to our Data Protection Officer at the contact details provided below.
7.3 Upon receipt of your written request, we may require reasonable time (depending on the complexity of the request and its impact on our relationship with you) for your request to be processed and for us to notify you of the consequences of us acceding to the same, including any legal consequences which may affect your rights and liabilities to us. In general, we shall seek to process your request within ten (10) business days of receiving it.
7.4 Whilst we respect your decision to withdraw your consent, please note that if you withdraw your consent to any or all use of your Personal Data, depending on the nature of your request, Sedar Properties may not be in a position to continue to provide its products or services to you or administer any contractual relationship in place. This may also result in the termination of any agreements with the Sedar Properties and your being in breach of your contractual obligations or undertakings. Sedar Properties’ legal rights and remedies in such event are expressly reserved.

7.6 Please note that if your Personal Data has been provided to us by a third party, you should contact such party directly to make any queries, feedback, and access and correction requests to Sedar Properties on your behalf.
8. Protection of Personal Data
8.1 To safeguard your personal data from unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks, we have introduced appropriate administrative physical and technical measures such as up-to-date antivirus protection and encryption to secure all storage and transmission of personal data by us, and disclosing personal data both internally and to our authorised third party service providers and agents only on a need-to-know basis.
8.2 You should be aware, however, that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While security cannot be guaranteed, we strive to protect the security of your information and are constantly reviewing and enhancing our information security measures.
9. Retention of Personal Data
9.1 We may retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required or permitted by applicable laws.
9.2 We will cease to retain your personal data, or remove the means by which the data can be associated with you, as soon as it is reasonable to assume that such retention no longer serves the purpose for which the personal data was collected, and is no longer necessary for legal or business purposes.
10. Transfers of Personal Data Outside of Singapore
10.1 We generally do not transfer your personal data to countries outside of Singapore. However, if we do so in order to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, we will take steps to ensure that your personal data continues to receive a standard of protection that is at least comparable to that provided under the PDPA.
11. Policy Review
11.1 Sedar Properties may from time to time update this Privacy Policy to ensure compliance to any changes in legal or regulatory requirements, as well as in response to future operations and/or industry trends. Please check back regularly for updated information on the handling of your Personal Data.
12. Governing Law
12.1 This Privacy Policy shall be governed in all respects by the laws of Singapore.
