With the re-zoning of Pakuranga into a town centre, Pakuranga Plaza and its adjacent lots provides a strategic 4-hectare development site. Our vision is to breathe new life into the gateway to East Auckland, and to build connections and a sense of belonging through neighbourhood regeneration. We are committed to creating a neighbourhood where heritage meets innovation, and where residents can thrive. Master planning for the site is currently underway.
Situated in a prime East Auckland location 16 kilometres from Auckland’s CBD, the town centre is located at the gateway to East Auckland, on the corner of two regional arterial roads and near the Tamaki Estuary coastline. Central to Phase II of the AMETI (Auckland Manukau Transport Initiative) Project in Auckland, a new busway from Panmure Station to the town centre will soon be available, along with a new bus station, new sets of traffic lights to improve access, new local road connections to improve connectivity, as well as improved amenities along all Pakuranga town centre streets.
The new town centre will unfold in well-managed stages - intentionally and thoughtfully planned to provide a welcoming environment that responds to the needs of people in the area.
